Imagine waking up to the above pictures, every. single. day. Yep, that pretty much sums up the life of anyone who lives on the beaches of Sydney’s eastern suburbs. Some of the above shots were just taken on my iPhone, which goes to show how extraordinarily beautiful this place is.

I have been very lucky to call this place home for the past 15 years and when I am sitting in a Notting Hill coffee shop on a drizzly London day these shots are often what I find myself daydreaming about.

Leading an active, healthy lifestyle is very prevalent here. I guess having to flaunt a bikini body 365 days a year can do that to you. Every morning no matter what time or season it is, boot camps, joggers, yoga classes, kickboxers sprawl the beaches as they work out watching the sun rise.

The Eastern Suburbs is known to be a little pricey (be prepared to pay about $6 for a fresh juice or $4 for a coffee) but nothing can beat the view and feeling around this part of town. In my eyes?  Totally worth it.

Travelling plans for Sydney?

Coastal Walk – An absolute must for every Sydney visitor: the Bondi to Coogee walk (or vice versa) – also known as the famous Coastal Walk. It extends for about 6 kilometres in one of Sydney’s most prestigious areas, the Eastern Suburbs. The walk features 5(-6), stunning views, parks, cliffs, bays and rock pools. Depending on how fit you are (and how often you stop for photos), the Bondi to Coogee Beach walk will take between one and two hours. Add another hour and a half if you choose to continue to Maroubra. When I am back in Sydney I do this every, single morning (rain, hail, hangover or shine). I would either go solo, with my sister or meet up with friends either end for breakfast and coffee.

Yoga By The Sea, check out their website and book in for a class. Very relaxing and a gorgeous way to start the day. Sometimes the waves crash up onto you when you’re doing a bit of downward dog action – magical!

Bondi Icebergs, for $5 you get access to the outdoor pool and sauna. A great way to kick start the weekend. Also Icebergs have a bar and restaurant which are great for afternoon drinks and dinner. Make sure you book and go home and change first… This place can get pretty chi-chi at night.
